Rivas Bloom No.2

Rivas Bloom is an abstract meditation on the sunsets of Rivas, Nicaragua. Painted with acrylic on raw canvas, the series captures the shifting spectrum of light and color that defines each evening’s unique transition.

Through layered applications of pigment, Kori Gabs explores the continual transformation of the sky at dusk. Reds and yellows evoke warmth, while greens, blues, and blacks convey a cooling presence, creating a dialogue of contrast and duality. The interplay of these tones reflects the fleeting balance between day and night.

Conceived as a triptych, the works mirror and inform one another, together embodying the cyclical rhythm of sunsets—ever-changing yet eternal in their recurrence.
