Origen I

This piece was inspired by the landscape of the valleys of Mexico, specifically the mountains of Guanajuato and the colors of the city. It was created during an artist residency I attended this January in San Miguel de Allende, the place where I first began painting. That’s why it is titled Origin—its colors are inspired by the facades of the houses.
